It is often forgotten that the simplest remedies are sometimes the most effective. Here, baking soda! Given the list of its virtues, one wonders why it is not in all the medicine cabinets.

First precaution: do not confuse baking soda powder with "carbonate of soda", very useful for the household but not consumable! 1- It helps to digest  :

3- It fights the dental plaque : 
Bicarbonate is ideal for getting rid of food residue deposited between teeth and causing caries. By neutralizing the acids (as it does in the stomach), it allows to fight the dental plaque and refreshes the breath at the same time. It can be used as a mouthwash. In addition, it whitens teeth! 

The recipe: 1 teaspoon of bicarbonate in a glass of water. 

4- It relieves canker sores and gums : 

Sodium bicarbonate is also very effective in treating aching aphthae or gums. It soothes pain and helps heal. It is applied to the ulceration by putting sodium bicarbonate directly on the tip of the finger before coating the canker. In mouthwash, it is also advisable. 

The recipe: dilute one tablespoon of powder in half a cup of cold water. 

5- It treats mycoses : 

The antifungal effects of bicarbonate are notably recognized to treat mycoses. Just before putting on your stockings or socks, think about sprinkling the fungus of your feet. The powder will absorb moisture produced during the day. You can also do foot baths regularly.

6- Bicarbonate purifies and disinfects: 

It purifies the hands : Wet your hands and rub them with bicarbonate, as you would with soap: they will be clean and soft. If you want to clean and whiten your nails before taking care, let them soak in a bowl of warm water with three tablespoons of bicarbonate.

1 - ginger :

2 - Cayenne pepper :

The homemade recipe: dilute a teaspoon of Cayenne pepper in a glass of  warm water. Mix well so that the pepper does not remain at the bottom of the glass and soak cotton buds in this solution making sure they are covered with pepper and place them in the nostrils until you feel heat. This is not a very nice remedy but it helps to wipe out the headaches.

 
3- Apple cider vinegar :


Apple cider vinegar is an old cure who has many interesting properties for our health thanks to its high content of phosphorus, calcium, magnesium, sulfur and especially potassium. But the one that interests us especially is its analgesic action on headaches and migraine headaches.


The homemade recipe: 


inhaled, pour 3 tablespoons of cider vinegar into a bowl of hot and inhale the vapors for 5 to 10 minutes, placing your head under a cloth, over the bowl.

 In compress, pour 10 cl of cider vinegar into a bowl of boiling water. Let cool and soak compresses that you then apply to the forehead and temples for about twenty minutes.

4- A compress of essential oil of mint :


Headaches are frequently caused by stress or anxiety. During periods of overwork (psychic or physical), you should always have a bottle of essential oil of peppermint on hand, which will stimulate blood circulation and soothe cranial tensions.


The homemade recipe: moisten a compress and impregnate it with 5 drops of peppermint essential oil. Apply on the neck for about 10 minutes. Renew regularly for 2 hours (or until symptoms disappear).
