How Good Is Turmeric For Arthritis?

Do you suffer from arthritis? Does the pain in your joints even prevent you from enjoying a walk with your family? Do not let arthritis steal the little joys of your life. Try turmeric and be relieved of the acute pain that is often associated with arthritis.

How Good Is Turmeric For Arthritis?

Turmeric is a household spice that is widely used in cooking.  it has even been hailed in Ayurveda since ancient times as a natural healing agent  .
When RA manifests in the body, joints like knees are affected and the result is swelling and pain. It makes travel difficult over time, and since the disease has no cure, the intensity of the pain increases over time. Turmeric has an ingredient called curcumin, which has several beneficial properties . It works as an excellent anti-inflammatory agent and reduces joint pain caused by arthritis. This has been corroborated by a number of contemporary study findings.

Turmeric effectively blocks cytokines and enzymes in the human body that cause inflammation. He has modified immune system attributes, think scientists. The University of Michigan Health System said turmeric to treat osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis is safer than using NSAIDs.

Because turmeric is both anti-oxidant andanti-inflammatory, it will help reduce inflammation in the joints and thus soothe the pain of arthritis. Some researchers believe that turmeric has the potential to be more effective than cortisone steroids.
In addition turmeric has the enormous advantage of having no negative side effects, so it is a product and a natural and healthy remedy.

Several recent studies show that turmeric/curcumin has anti-inflammatory properties and modifies immune system responses. A 2006 study showed turmeric was more effective at preventing joint inflammation than reducing joint inflammation.
A 2010 clinical trial found that a turmeric supplement called Meriva (standardized to 75 percent curcumin combined with phosphatidylcholine) provided long-term improvement in pain and function in 100 patients with knee OA.
In a small 2012 pilot study, a curcumin product called BCM-95 reduced joint pain and swelling in patients with active RA better than diclofenac, an nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID).
Dosage:

Capsules, extract (more likely to be free of contaminants) or spice. For OA: Capsule, typically 400 mg to 600 mg, three times per day; or 0.5 g to 1 g of powdered root up to 3 g per day. For RA: 500 mg twice daily.
"Curcumin makes up only about 2 to 6 percent of turmeric, so be sure to check the standardized amount of curcumin," advises Randy Horowitz, MD, medical director of the University of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine in Tucson.

Avoid turmeric/curcumin if you take blood thinners such as warfarin (Coumadin), are about to have surgery, are pregnant or have gallbladder disease.

WAYS TO USE CURCUMA TO AVOID ARTHRITIS PAIN:

1 - Some arthritis experts say you can take turmeric with ginger for best results. Ginger is another plant that has anti-inflammatory compounds . Taking in the capsules or using a mixture of both herbs in warm water/milk and honey is fine   .

2 - You can use turmeric in the kitchen in different ways. You can cook the vegetables in turmeric soaked in water or mix   meat or vegetables. It can be used to prepare different dishes  .

3 - For topical application of turmeric for the management of arthritis pain, combine it with coconut oil. Apply this mixture to the affected area. The paste will cause stains on the skin, which can then be removed by washing with soap.

In conclusion, turmeric is not a miracle cure for arthritis, but it can improve the comfort of people suffering, reducing inflammation and pain.

6 Effective Home Remedies To Reduce Your Cholesterol Levels :

Many of the foods we eat today are high in cholesterol, and this can produce a build-up of bad cholesterol in our bodies, clog the arteries and make them rigid.

6 Effective Home Remedies To Reduce Your Cholesterol Levels :

When the arteries lose their flexibility, the blood circulates badly because the artery becomes narrower, and with time, the circulation becomes more and more difficult.

Considering the high risks involved, it is important to adopt habits that reduce cholesterol levels in the blood and avoid adverse consequences in the future.

If you suffer from high cholesterol, we invite you to discover our home remedies that will help you reduce it significantly.

 Carrots :

Carrot is an excellent vegetable for fighting high cholesterol for two reasons:

On the one hand, it is rich in beta-carotenes, which stimulate the production of vitamin A, an antioxidant that improves the synthesis of good cholesterol or HDL and reduces bad cholesterol or LDL.
On the other hand, it contains a lot of fiber, which is essential for controlling cholesterol.
These fibers carry with them cholesterol and facilitate its elimination through the intestine.

Every day, prepare a salad with two grated organic carrots.

Add some vegetables and season with olive oil and lemon or apple vinegar. Avoid adding salt.

Ginger :

This exotic, aromatic and spicy root hides many health properties, so always have it handy in the kitchen.

Its antioxidants reduce cholesterol and prevent clogging of the arteries.

Ginger prevents blood clots from forming, and it facilitates blood circulation in the body.

Here's an example for eating ginger: Learn how to prepare a ginger beer to reduce pain and inflammation

You can eat raw ginger, grated in salad, infusion or powder like a spice.

To make it even better for you, make a fresh ginger juice or smoothie with other fruits or vegetables.

An excellent combination is to mix apple, carrot and ginger.

You can also eat it with orange, pineapple, papaya, fresh mint, banana, pear, red berries, etc.

Artichoke infusion :

Artichoke infusion is ideal for depurating the body, removing toxins from the body and reducing the level of bad cholesterol in the blood.

On the other hand, regular consumption of this infusion can also help to lose weight.

Ingredients:

- 2 artichoke leaves
- 1 cup of water (250 ml)

How to prepare the infusion?

Boil the two artichoke leaves in a cup of water for 15 minutes, then remove from the heat and let stand for 5 minutes.

We recommend drinking this infusion on an empty stomach. People who suffer from digestive problems should avoid consuming this infusion.

Garlic :

Garlic is a medicinal food that has been used since ancient times to treat multiple ailments.

In this case, it reduces the high levels of cholesterol but also those of triglycerides, which are associated with it.

The problem with garlic is that it is often difficult to digest and causes bad breath.

If you are worried about these genes, you can buy garlic tablets.
Otherwise, we recommend eating a garlic clove on an empty stomach. Spread it on a bread sandwich with a drizzle of olive oil.
The more adventurous can perform the Cleansing with Garlic and Lemon to clean the arteries and reduce cholesterol.

Green Tea :

Research shows that green tea lowers total cholesterol and increases HDL (good) cholesterol in both animals and humans. A population-based study found that men who drink green tea are more likely to have lower total cholesterol than those who do not drink green tea.

The results of an animal study suggest that polyphenols in green tea can block cholesterol from being absorbed into the intestine and also help the body to get rid of cholesterol. In another small study on male smokers, researchers found that green tea significantly reduced blood levels of bad LDL (bad) cholesterol.

Cinnamon and Cholesterol : ( source : LiveStrong.com )

Some people take a large amount of cinnamon with an eye to controlling their cholesterol levels — between 1 g and 6 g., says Behrenbeck, which is the amount used in the study. He goes on to state that while cinnamon may affect how your body metabolizes sugar and fat, there's still no conclusive evidence that cinnamon works for high cholesterol. The study conducted on cinnamon focused on its effects on people with diabetes — not specifically those with high cholesterol. Researcher Richard Anderson of the Beltsville Human Nutrition Research Center in Maryland participated in the Pakistan study and indicated that cinnamon can be toxic in high amounts .

Other Foods to lower your cholesterol Naturaly: ( source : LiveStrong.com ) :

Cinnamon may not be the answer to your cholesterol problems, but MayoClinic.com suggests other foods that are beneficial. Add high-fiber foods such as oatmeal and oat bran to your breakfast. Fish rich in omega-3 fatty acids are helpful; eat these at least twice a week. Choose from salmon, halibut, albacore tuna, herring, sardines, mackerel or freshwater trout. One-and-a-half oz. of walnuts or almonds can also help lower your cholesterol due to these nuts' heart-healthy unsaturated fats. Use extra-virgin olive oil in lieu of butter or margarine. Treat yourself to juices and yogurt drinks with added plant sterols or stanols.
